MESSAGE FROM CAMPAIGN CABINET CHAIR, MAJOR GIVING CABINET CHAIR, BOARD CHAIR & CEO

Together, We are Stronger

There is so much to be proud of about how we have collectively answered the call during these challenging two years.

We have proven ourselves to be a resilient community that is committed to helping one another and we have demonstrated that great things happen when you combine kindness, generosity and innovation.

Thanks to you – our donors – your United Way Halton & Hamilton has catalyzed action, enhanced the capacity of frontline agencies, and raised critical funds that will be invested in recovery programs.

Because of you, our community hit a milestone. Your contributions raised a record $11.1+ million. Given pandemic restrictions, this result is impressive and inspiring.

As a result of our unique positioning, deep community connection and insight, we identified new and emerging issues. We then took action, and applied an evidence-based approach to solutioning, and in the end invested an additional half-million dollars of crucial, one-time community grants. These invested funds were over and above scheduled allocations.

This report showcases the impact of your commitment to making important change, even in a time of crisis. We cannot take our foot off the gas pedal. Even though there are many reasons for hope, we know agencies continue to struggle to meet demand.

Yet when we apply the power of this incredible community, and examine and tackle our social issues through a lens of equity, diversity and inclusion, your commitment offers the possibility for everyone to overcome and prevail.

Thank you for your Local Love. Together, we are stronger.
